Main Ingredients- 1/2 block Tofu (approx. 150g)
- 200g Chicken Breast
- 1 pack Fried Tofu Pouch (for sushi)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare half a block of tofu. This should be around 150g.
Step 2
Wrap the tofu in a clean cloth or paper towels and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. Place the squeezed tofu in a bowl and mash it thoroughly with a fork or your hands until it’s very smooth, ensuring there are no lumps.
Step 3
Maintaining muscle mass is crucial even while dieting! Prepare 200g of chicken breast. Cook the chicken breast by boiling, grilling, or steaming until thoroughly done. (Tip: Grilling or steaming makes it more flavorful and less watery!)
Step 4
Once the cooked chicken breast has cooled slightly, finely chop it using a knife or scissors. Aim for a size similar to rice grains so it blends well with the mashed tofu.
Step 5
Add the finely chopped chicken breast to the mashed tofu. Mix in 1 tablespoon of fermented shrimp for a savory kick. If you don’t have fermented shrimp, you can use 1/2 tablespoon of soup soy sauce or a pinch of salt to season. (Tip: Fermented shrimp adds a delicious umami flavor and saltiness.)
Step 6
If you’d like an extra nutty aroma, add a little sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds (optional). Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a spatula or your hands until well combined. Even tasting it at this stage will reveal a satisfyingly healthy and mild flavor!
Step 7
Finally, open the pack of fried tofu pouches for sushi. Gently squeeze out any excess liquid from inside each pouch. Then, carefully fill each pouch with the prepared tofu and chicken mixture, shaping them into bite-sized pieces. Your healthy inari sushi rolls are now complete!
