Healthy Summer Drink: Misutgaru Recipe
Misutgaru: The Golden Ratio Recipe for a Filling Meal Replacement, Not Just a Summer Drink
Misutgaru is a nutritious powder made by roasting various healthy grains—such as brown rice, barley, beans, Job’s tears, glutinous rice, sesame, and perilla seeds—at a temperature that preserves their nutrients. While most people associate Misutgaru solely with summer beverages, it’s actually an excellent meal replacement. Enjoy this wholesome drink that’s good for everyone in the family.
Ingredients- 3 Tbsp Misutgaru (roasted grain powder)
- 1 cup (approx. 180ml) Milk
- 1 Tbsp Honey (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s make a refreshing Misutgaru drink perfect for a warm day. First, add 3 tablespoons of Misutgaru and 1 tablespoon of honey into a cup. You can substitute honey with sugar or corn syrup, and adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Step 2
Instead of pouring all the milk at once, start by adding about 2-3 tablespoons of milk. Slowly stir to prevent the Misutgaru from clumping. Mixing it with a small amount of milk first will help it dissolve smoothly without lumps. Once it’s well combined and lump-free, gradually add the remaining milk while continuing to stir.
Step 3
For a smoother and finer texture, use a whisk and stir vigorously. A whisk incorporates air, creating a richer and creamier drink. If you prefer an even easier and perfectly blended result, we recommend using a blender! Combine all the ingredients in a blender and pulse briefly. You’ll have a wonderfully smooth and delicious Misutgaru drink. For extra refreshment, add ice cubes!
