Main Ingredients- 1 Bagel
- 2 Eggs
Filling & Seasoning- 1/2 Tbsp minced onion (soaked in cold water and drained)
- 2-3 Tbsp mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp mustard (or to taste)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s boil the eggs. Place the eggs in a pot, cover them with water, add a pinch of salt, and boil over medium heat for 12 minutes until hard-boiled. Once cooked, immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold water to cool them down. Peeling the eggs after they’ve cooled in cold water makes it much easier.
Step 2
Once the eggs are peeled, place them in a bowl and mash them thoroughly with a fork until there are no large lumps. Add the well-drained minced onion, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together gently until well combined. Tip: If you prefer a milder onion flavor, soak the minced onion in cold water for about 10 minutes before draining and squeezing out the excess water. This reduces its pungent taste.
Step 3
Slice the bagel in half horizontally using a bread knife. You can use it as is, or lightly toast it for an extra layer of texture and flavor, if you prefer. Generously spoon the prepared egg salad mixture onto the bottom half of the bagel. Place the top half of the bagel on top to complete your delicious Bagel Egg Sandwich.
