- 2 slices of cheese
- A pinch of parsley flakes (for garnish)

Spicy Sriracha Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
Spicy Sriracha Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Slice the loaf of bread into thick pieces, about 2 cm thick, suitable for sandwiches.
Step 2
Make a cut into the top of each bread slice, stopping about 1 cm from the edges. This creates a pocket for the filling.
Step 3
Prepare the two sauces first. Sauce 1: Mix 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk with 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Sauce 2: Mix 1 tablespoon of Sriracha sauce with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise.
Step 4
Tip: If you find the sweetness of condensed milk overpowering, try an alternative sauce. Mix 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise with 1.5 tablespoons of lemon juice and 0.3 tablespoons of sugar for a brighter, tangier flavor.
Step 5
Now, let’s make the fluffy scrambled eggs. Crack 4 eggs into a bowl.
Step 6
Add 0.5 tablespoons of sugar and 5 pinches of salt to the eggs.
Step 7
Pour in 6 tablespoons of milk.
Step 8
Whisk everything together until well combined and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to over-whisk, as this can make the eggs tough.
Step 9
Melt some butter in a pan over medium heat. Place the prepared bread slices in the pan and toast them lightly on both sides until golden brown. This gives the bread a nice crispy exterior.
Step 10
It’s important to toast the bread over medium-low heat to prevent burning. A light golden color is perfect.
Step 11
In the same pan (adding a little more butter if needed), reduce the heat to medium. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble gently with a spatula or chopsticks, stirring occasionally to create soft curds.
Step 12
The key to an Egg Drop sandwich is incredibly soft, tender scrambled eggs. When the eggs are slightly undercooked and still moist, remove them from the heat and transfer to a separate plate to stop the cooking process.
Step 13
Lightly grill the sandwich ham slices in the pan to enhance their flavor. This removes excess fat and adds a delicious smoky note.
Step 14
Spread the prepared condensed milk sauce and Sriracha sauce on the inside of each bread slice.
Step 15
Layer the grilled ham onto the sauce-covered bread, followed by a slice of cheese.
Step 16
Finally, generously fill the bread pocket with the soft scrambled eggs. For an extra touch, you can drizzle a little extra sauce on top. Garnish with a sprinkle of parsley flakes for a beautiful finish. Close the sandwich and enjoy!
