Super Simple Homemade Pepero: Gift Special Moments with Sesame Sticks and Sarubia Biscuits!
I made these homemade Pepero sticks using Sarubia biscuits and sesame sticks bought from a nearby store! It’s incredibly simple, but gifting them to friends, family, or colleagues, even in small quantities, brings immense joy and heartfelt appreciation. That’s the charm of handmade items, isn’t it? They capture hearts with pure intentions! Share your sweet feelings with these delightful treats.
Ingredients- 170g Dark Chocolate for coating (67% cacao)
- Pink chocolate pen for decoration
- White chocolate pen for decoration
- 1 pack Sarubia biscuits
- 1 pack Sesame sticks
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Place a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (ensure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water) and stir the chocolate gently until it’s completely smooth. The chocolate hardens quickly in winter, which is great for this recipe. Prepare a sheet of parchment paper to place the coated sticks on.
Step 2
Hold two biscuit sticks (Sarubia or sesame sticks) together. Dip them into the melted chocolate, ensuring the chocolate covers the top section of the sticks evenly. Once coated, hold the sticks vertically and gently shake off any excess chocolate. Make sure to coat all the way to the tip, and that no uncoated parts are visible. Aim for a clean, smooth finish.
Step 3
Now for the fun decorating part! Using chocolate pens is convenient, but controlling the pressure can be tricky. For more refined and beautiful decorations, I recommend using colored coating chocolates (like pink or white) purchased separately. Melt them in a piping bag for easier and more precise application. Also, consider coating the biscuit sticks themselves with colored chocolate before adding the dark chocolate drizzle or patterns; this will make your Pepero even more visually appealing and unique!
