Easy and Delicious Homemade Sour Cream Recipe

While thinking about what kind of sauce would complement it, I suddenly thought of sour cream. Its tangy yet creamy flavor seemed like it would pair wonderfully with any dish! Ingredients
- 250ml Heavy Cream (whipping cream can be used)
- 125ml Plain Yogurt
- 30ml Fresh Lemon Juice

I researched various sour cream recipes and chose the easiest one, and the results were truly excellent! If you can’t find fresh heavy cream, regular whipping cream from the supermarket works perfectly fine.

First, prepare a clean container. I used a food storage container I had at home. Carefully pour in 250ml of the liquid heavy cream.

Next, add 125ml of plain yogurt to the container with the heavy cream. You can use regular milk instead of plain yogurt, but keep in mind that the sour cream might turn out a bit thinner if you use milk.

Now, add 30ml of lemon juice to give it a refreshing tang. You can adjust the amount of lemon juice according to your taste preference. If you enjoy a more tart flavor, feel free to add a little extra.

After adding all the ingredients, gently stir everything together using a wooden spoon or a silicone spatula until well combined. It’s important to mix it smoothly without any lumps.
Step 6
Cover the container with the well-mixed mixture and refrigerate for at least one day to let it mature. This process deepens the flavor and enhances the creamy texture. Isn’t it incredibly simple?
