Ingredients

  • 2 Hotteok buns (honey-filled pancakes)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Slice of cheese
  • 2 Slices of bacon
  • A little butter

Lightly oil a frying pan and crack an egg into it. Cook the egg, trying to form it into a nice round shape. Once cooked, carefully remove it from the pan and set aside. A round egg looks much more appealing!

Heat the same frying pan again and cook 2 slices of bacon. You don’t need to add any oil, as the bacon will render its own fat. Cook until nicely browned and crispy.

Now it’s time to toast the buns! Divide the butter in half and place it in the frying pan. Melt the butter slowly over low heat, ensuring it coats the entire surface of the pan.

Place the cut hotteok buns onto the melted butter in the pan. Toast them until golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides, flipping them as needed.

Assemble your McMuffin! On one side of the toasted bun, place the cooked egg. Layer on the crispy bacon and a slice of cheese. Finally, top with the other half of the toasted bun. That’s it! Super simple, right? (Tip: I added extra bacon and cheese for an even richer flavor!)
