Ingredients- 3 slices of bread
- Your favorite fruit jam (e.g., kiwi jam, tomato jam, strawberry jam)
- Butter
- Honey
- Powdered sugar
- Cinnamon powder (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by preparing three slices of bread. Generously spread your favorite fruit jam onto one side of each slice. For example, you could spread a tangy tomato-orange jam on one slice and a refreshing kiwi jam on another. Spread the jam gently to avoid tearing the bread.
Step 2
Place another slice of bread on top of the jam-spread slice. Then, spread a different fruit jam on top of this second slice. I used kiwi jam here! Layering different jams will create a beautiful mosaic of flavors and colors when you slice the bread later.
Step 3
Complete the sandwich by placing the last slice of bread on top. Now, make shallow cuts about 1 cm from the edge on all four sides of the bread. Carefully open up these cut edges slightly and drizzle a small amount of honey into the gaps. The honey will seep in, making the bread extra moist and sweet.
Step 4
Brush the very top surface of the bread with melted butter. This will create a golden, crispy crust when baked. For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle some cinnamon powder over the buttered top. The warm spice complements the sweetness of the bread beautifully.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Baking time and temperature may vary depending on your oven, so keep an eye on it to prevent burning. The goal is a crispy exterior and a soft, moist interior.
Step 6
Once baked to perfection, remove the Honey Jam Bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. While delicious warm, allowing it to cool a bit before dusting with powdered sugar creates a lovely presentation. You can also drizzle a little more syrup or honey on top for an extra touch of sweetness. Slice and enjoy this delightful treat!
