Juicy Tteokgalbi Burger Made with Market-Style Korean Grilled Short Rib Patties
Easy and Hearty Tteokgalbi Burger Recipe Using Market Tteokgalbi from Mokdong Ggaebbi Market! 🍔
I made a fantastic burger using tteokgalbi (Korean grilled short rib patties) that I found at the market! I bought it from ‘Mokdong Ggaebbi Market,’ and although I was a bit skeptical at first, it was incredibly delicious, exceeding all expectations! Using this tasty tteokgalbi, I created a satisfying meal that’s perfect for any time, complete with cheese and a fried egg on top. 🍔✨ Instead of a typical burger bun, I used leftover ciabatta bread, and its crispy exterior and chewy interior made a perfect pairing with the tteokgalbi. Enjoy this simple yet delicious burger, made with tteokgalbi easily cooked in an air fryer, bursting with juicy flavor!
Main Ingredients- 3 Tteokgalbi patties
- 1 Ciabatta bread
- 3 Slices of cheese
- 3 Eggs
- 2 Lettuce leaves
- 1/2 Tomato
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, slice the ciabatta bread in half horizontally. Then, fry 3 eggs to your preferred doneness (sunny-side up is recommended for a runny yolk) to be used as a topping for the burger.
Step 2
Prepare the thick and flavorful tteokgalbi patties bought from the market. (These patties were wonderfully sweet and savory with abundant juices!) Place 2 of the tteokgalbi patties into an air fryer and cook until golden brown. If your air fryer has a small capacity, cook them in batches.
Step 3
Take the ciabatta bread, cut it in half to create two sections, and then carefully slice each section horizontally to form the top and bottom burger buns.
Step 4
Wash the fresh lettuce leaves thoroughly under running water and pat them dry. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. For an extra crisp and cool sensation, place the prepared lettuce in the refrigerator for a short while.
Step 5
On the cut side of one of the ciabatta halves, spread a thin layer of balsamic glaze. The sweet and tangy glaze will add a wonderful depth of flavor.
Step 6
Arrange the crisp lettuce leaves and fresh tomato slices attractively on top of the ciabatta half with the balsamic glaze.
Step 7
Place one slice of cheese on top of the vegetables. The residual heat from the tteokgalbi will gently melt the cheese.
Step 8
Carefully place the tteokgalbi patties, which have been nicely browned in the air fryer, on top of the melted cheese. The warmth of the tteokgalbi will further melt the cheese, enhancing the overall flavor.
Step 9
Finally, top the tteokgalbi with the perfectly cooked fried egg. Spread the charcoal-grilled meat sauce on the cut side of the other ciabatta half. If you don’t have charcoal-grilled meat sauce, regular BBQ sauce will work wonderfully. Place the sauced ciabatta half on top to complete your tteokgalbi burger!
Step 10
To keep your burger stable, secure it with a sturdy wooden skewer or long chopsticks. Your delicious tteokgalbi burger, made with juicy market-style tteokgalbi, is now complete! Enjoy this hearty and flavorful meal.
