Kid-Friendly Egg Cheese Toast
A Delicious Snack for Kids Made with Boiled Eggs!
I recently boiled a lot of eggs for my diet. However, when hunger strikes, it’s easy to grab unhealthy snacks. So, I decided to use those boiled eggs to create a ready-to-eat, healthy snack for my children. This egg cheese toast is simple, satisfying, and perfect for little ones!
Toast Ingredients- 10 slices pickles
- 1/4 onion
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 Tbsp ketchup
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 slices bread
- 100g shredded mozzarella cheese
- A pinch of dried parsley
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the vegetable sauce that will add flavor to our toast. Finely mince 10 slices of pickles and 1/4 onion. It’s important to mince them as finely as possible so the children can eat them easily.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the minced pickles and onion with 1 Tbsp of mayonnaise and 1/2 Tbsp of ketchup. Mix well to create a delicious vegetable sauce. The tanginess of the ketchup and the creaminess of the mayonnaise will harmonize wonderfully with the pickles and onions.
Step 3
Prepare your 3 hard-boiled eggs by peeling them and slicing them into bite-sized pieces. You can use both the yolk and the white. Aim for about 12 slices, keeping the round shape for an appealing presentation.
Step 4
Now it’s time to assemble the toast! Take 2 slices of bread and place them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle a little shredded mozzarella cheese on the bread first. This helps prevent the bread from becoming soggy from the sauce and helps the cheese adhere better.
Step 5
Evenly spread half of the prepared vegetable sauce onto each slice of bread. Be sure to spread it all the way to the edges for deliciousness in every bite.
Step 6
Next, generously top the vegetable sauce with more shredded mozzarella cheese! Adding plenty of cheese will ensure a wonderfully gooey and melty toast when it’s baked.
Step 7
Arrange the prepared boiled egg slices attractively on top of the mozzarella cheese. Take a moment to place them nicely to enhance the visual appeal of the toast.
Step 8
Finally, lightly sprinkle a bit more mozzarella cheese over the eggs and dust with a pinch of dried parsley for a touch of color. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. If you don’t have an oven, you can cover a frying pan with a lid and cook over low heat until the cheese is melted and gooey.
