Ingredients
  • 1 sheet of flat fish cake (eomuk)
  • 2 grilled sausages
  • 10 pieces of tteokbokki rice cakes
  • 4 Tbsp seafood rosé spaghetti sauce
  • Milk (enough to lightly cover the ingredients)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, rinse the tteokbokki rice cakes, flat fish cake, and grilled sausages under water. Cut the sausages and fish cake into bite-sized pieces for easier eating by children.

Step 2

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the prepared rice cakes, fish cake, and sausages, and blanch for about 1 minute. This helps remove any unwanted odors and results in a cleaner taste.

Step 3

Carefully drain the blanched ingredients. Ensuring the excess water is removed allows the rosé sauce flavors to penetrate more deeply.

Step 4

Now, in a pot suitable for simmering the tteokbokki, add the blanched ingredients. Pour in the milk and the seafood rosé spaghetti sauce. Use enough milk to lightly cover the ingredients. Simmer over medium-low heat.

Step 5

Stir continuously with a spatula or spoon to prevent sticking to the bottom, and let it simmer until the sauce thickens. Once the sauce has a creamy consistency and has thoroughly coated the ingredients, it’s ready to serve. Enjoy this creamy and delicious Rosé Tteokbokki that your kids will adore!
