Loaded Corn Cheese Hot Dog
A Unique Hot Dog Experience: Moist and Delicious!
Hello everyone! I tried using the corn cheese recipe I shared previously and decided to put it into a hot dog. I think it will be even more delicious with this combination. The savory and sweet corn cheese perfectly complements the hot dog and bun, creating a truly special taste. It’s ideal for kids’ snacks or a simple brunch treat. Let’s make a delicious hot dog right away!
Hot Dog Ingredients

- Hot dog buns (4 count)
- Sausages (4 count)
- Pickles (appropriate amount, finely chopped)
- Jalapeños (appropriate amount, optional based on preference, finely chopped)
Sauce Ingredients
- Ketchup (appropriate amount)
- Mayonnaise (appropriate amount)
- Your favorite sauce (mustard, sriracha, etc., appropriate amount)
- Ketchup (appropriate amount)
- Mayonnaise (appropriate amount)
- Your favorite sauce (mustard, sriracha, etc., appropriate amount)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the pickles and jalapeños to add texture and freshness to your hot dogs. Adjust the amount according to your preference; if you prefer less spice, you can omit the jalapeños. Finely chop the prepared pickles and jalapeños.
Step 2
It’s time to toast the hot dog buns to perfection. If using an oven, preheat it to 170-180°C (338-356°F) and bake the buns for about 5 minutes until lightly golden. This will make the exterior crispy and the interior soft. If you don’t have an oven, you can microwave the buns for about 20-30 seconds to soften them.
Step 3
Let’s make the star of this hot dog: the corn cheese! While water is boiling in a pot, refer to a separate corn cheese recipe to create a delicious corn cheese mixture. (You can find detailed corn cheese recipes on my page!).
Step 4
Once the water is boiling vigorously, carefully add the sausages and boil them for about 4 minutes. You can pan-fry or bake the sausages, but boiling them removes excess grease, making them much lighter and less greasy. Drain the boiled sausages on a sieve.
Step 5
Remove the beautifully toasted buns from the oven. Be careful as they will be hot. Let them cool slightly before proceeding to the next step.
Step 6
Carefully make a slit lengthwise down the center of the warm hot dog bun. Then, gently insert the boiled sausage into the opening.
Step 7
Generously spoon the warm, freshly made corn cheese over the sausage inside the bun. If your corn cheese was made ahead of time and has cooled, keep it on very low heat while you assemble the hot dogs to ensure it stays warm. The sweet and creamy flavor of the corn cheese will be a wonderful addition.
Step 8
On top of the corn cheese, artfully arrange the chopped pickles and jalapeños you prepared earlier. The crunchy texture and refreshing tang will enhance the overall taste.
Step 9
Finally, drizzle your favorite sauces such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or any other preferred sauce decoratively over the toppings. Your special corn cheese hot dog, bursting with flavor and visual appeal, is now complete! Enjoy your delicious creation!
