Seasoning & Others- Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp

- Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp
- Pepper, a pinch
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, take the Bratwurst Vienna sausages and cut them in half lengthwise. These will form the base of your flower petals. Be careful not to cut them too thinly.
Step 2
Next, make ‘+’ shaped cuts on the outer surface of the halved sausages. Then, gently insert thinly sliced ham into the cuts to start creating the flower shape. Ensure the ham slices are cut to match the length of the sausages.
Step 3
Blanch the ham slices (that you’ll be inserting into the sausages) in boiling water. This helps remove any raw ham odor and makes the ham more pliable for shaping. After blanching, drain them thoroughly on a sieve.
Step 4
Finely mince the carrot, zucchini, onion, ham, and crab sticks. These will be the filling for your rice balls. Finely chopping ensures the ingredients mix well with the rice and provide a pleasant texture.
Step 5
Heat a pan with a little oil. Add all the minced vegetables, ham, and crab sticks to the pan. Season with 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce and a pinch of pepper for added flavor.
Step 6
Stir-fry the mixture over medium-low heat until the vegetables soften and become fragrant. This step helps to meld all the flavors together.
Step 7
Add the cooked rice to the pan with the stir-fried mixture. Gently mix with a spatula, ensuring the rice grains are separated and evenly combined with the filling ingredients. Avoid mashing the rice.
Step 8
Take portions of the rice mixture and shape them into flat, round patties using your hands or plastic wrap. Place one of the prepared flower-shaped ham sausages on top of each patty. Then, carefully shape the rice around the ham to form a complete round rice ball, resembling a flower. Arrange them beautifully in your lunchbox for a delightful spring picnic treat!
