Microwave Sweet Pumpkin Cheese Bake (Jam Pumpkin) ♡♡ Daebak! Absolutely Worth It!
This sweet pumpkin cheese dish is incredibly delicious, but I found steaming it a hassle. So, I tried using the microwave, and wow, it’s an absolute game-changer! The taste is amazing, and the presentation is stunning! It’s a must-have item for serving guests.
Ingredients- 1 Jam sweet pumpkin (approx. 500g)
- 1 bag Mozzarella cheese (100g)
- 150g Spaghetti sauce
- A pinch of Parsley flakes (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare 1 jam sweet pumpkin, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, and 150g of spaghetti sauce.
Step 2
Carefully cut off the top of the sweet pumpkin to create a lid. Use a spoon or a long-handled spoon to scoop out the seeds and pulp from the inside. If desired, you can lightly peel the rough parts of the pumpkin’s surface with a peeler for easier eating. (You can skip peeling if you plan to eat the skin.)
Step 3
Place the prepared sweet pumpkin on a microwave-safe plate and microwave for about 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, check for tenderness by piercing it with a chopstick. If it’s still firm, continue microwaving in 2-minute intervals until it’s tender. (Adjust the time based on the pumpkin’s size and your microwave’s power.)
Step 4
Once cooked, carefully cut the sweet pumpkin in half. Then, gently press down with a spoon to slightly flatten the inside of the pumpkin. This creates a better surface for spreading the sauce and cheese.
Step 5
Generously spread the spaghetti sauce over the flattened inside of the sweet pumpkin. The sweet and tangy sauce will complement the pumpkin’s sweetness beautifully.
Step 6
Arrange the mozzarella cheese over the spaghetti sauce. You can add a little more spaghetti sauce on top of the cheese for an even richer flavor.
Step 7
Return the pumpkin with the cheese to the microwave and cook for another 3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. (Monitor the cheese and adjust the time as needed.)
Step 8
