Hamburger Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (can substitute with hamburger buns)
  • 1/2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 2 frozen Nabe-Ahnni patties (or Tteokgalbi)
  • 1 slice of processed cheese
  • 20g shredded cabbage (thinly sliced)
  • 5 slices of dill pickles (thinly sliced)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Heat 1 tsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the 2 frozen Nabe-Ahnni patties in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, ensuring they are thoroughly cooked through.

Step 1

Step 2

Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, thinly shred the 20g of cabbage. The thinner the shreds, the better the texture will be.

Step 2

Step 3

Place the 2 slices of bread in a dry pan over low heat and toast them until golden brown on both sides. This creates a slightly crisp exterior while keeping the inside soft, forming the perfect base for your hamburger. (If using hamburger buns, lightly toasting them will enhance the flavor.)

Step 3

Step 4

While the bread is still warm from toasting, spread 1/2 tsp of butter evenly on the inside surface of each slice. The butter will melt into the bread, adding a rich flavor.

Step 4

Step 5

Place 1 slice of processed cheese on top of one of the buttered bread slices. The residual heat will help it soften slightly.

Step 5

Step 6

Layer the thinly shredded cabbage and the sliced dill pickles attractively over the cheese.

Step 6

Step 7

Drizzle 1 Tbsp of ketchup and 1 Tbsp of mustard in a zig-zag pattern over the cabbage and pickles. You can adjust the amount of sauce to your preference.

Step 7

Step 8

Place the cooked Nabe-Ahnni patty on top of the sauce, and then cover with the other slice of bread to complete your hamburger.

Step 8

Step 9

Cut the finished hamburger in half for easier eating. Enjoy it while it’s warm for the best taste!
