Main Ingredients

  • 3 pieces chicken breast
  • 2 bell peppers (use a variety of colors for visual appeal)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 head red cabbage

Mustard Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 15 whole peanuts
  • 3 Tbsp hot mustard paste (adjust quantity to taste)
  • 1 lemon (use the juice)

Prepare the fresh ingredients by rinsing them thoroughly. Rinse the chicken breast under running water. Wash the bell peppers, cucumber, red cabbage, and lettuce, then pat them dry.

Julienne all the vegetables into thin strips. Shred or slice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. (Optional: Boiling the chicken breast beforehand will make it even more tender.)

Make the special mustard sauce for that zesty kick. First, wash the lemon thoroughly, including its peel, remove any seeds, and blend the whole fruit. (Alternatively, you can just use the lemon juice.) In a blender or mortar, finely grind the whole peanuts. Add the hot mustard paste to the ground peanuts, then gradually whisk in the milk until a smooth consistency is achieved. Add the blended lemon and mix everything well until the mustard sauce is perfectly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning with more mustard, sugar, or salt if desired.
