Main Ingredients- 6 sheets Napa cabbage (Napa-bae Chu)
- 1/2 block firm tofu
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, if you prefer a healthier sweetness, you can substitute sugar with allulose or oligosaccharides. Adjust the amount according to your preference.
Step 2
Wash the napa cabbage leaves thoroughly. Place them in a microwave-safe dish with 1/2 cup of water and microwave for about 3 minutes. This will soften the cabbage, making it easier to roll.
Step 3
Pat the tofu dry with paper towels. Cut the tofu into 6 long strips. If the tofu pieces are too large, they might be difficult to roll with the cabbage, so aim for a manageable size.
Step 4
Gently drain any excess water from the softened cabbage leaves. Place a strip of tofu on the wider end of a cabbage leaf and tightly roll it up from the end. Ensure it’s rolled securely so the tofu doesn’t slip out.
Step 5
Now, let’s make the delicious sauce. In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar (or allulose/oligosaccharides), 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp gochugaru, and a pinch of sesame oil. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed. You can adjust the sauce proportions to your taste.
Step 6
Arrange the rolled napa cabbage and tofu in a serving dish. Drizzle the prepared sauce evenly over the rolls. Make sure the sauce coats everything well.
Step 7
Finally, cover the dish with plastic wrap and microwave for another 4 minutes. Your delicious Napa Cabbage and Tofu Rolls are now ready to be enjoyed! They taste best when served warm.
