Ingredients- Bokbunja berries 50g (if using frozen, thaw before use)
- Cold milk 200cc
- Milk foam, a little
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Honey or corn syrup, a little (optional, to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Place 50g of fresh bokbunja berries into a blender. If you’re using frozen bokbunja, make sure to thaw them completely before proceeding.
Step 2
Pour 200cc of cold milk over the bokbunja berries in the blender. Using cold ingredients helps keep the drink refreshingly chilled.
Step 3
Prepare some milk foam. You can use a milk frother, or achieve this by pouring milk into a clean jar with a lid and shaking vigorously. Using a French press is another great method for frothing milk.
Step 4
Secure the lid on the blender and blend for about 15-30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Be careful not to over-blend, as this can deflate the foam. Fill a serving glass generously with ice cubes. Carefully pour the blended bokbunja milk mixture over the ice. Gently spoon the prepared milk foam on top of the drink. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add a little honey or corn syrup to your liking. I personally find the natural sweetness of the bokbunja sufficient, so I often omit this step, but feel free to adjust it to your preference!
