Main Ingredients

  • 1 serving rice
  • 1 Tbsp canned tuna (drained)
  • 1/2 imitation crab stick
  • A small amount of onion
  • A small amount of carrot
  • A small amount of green onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a large bowl, place 1 serving of cooked rice. Finely chop or shred the imitation crab stick. Finely dice the onion, carrot, and green onion. Add the drained canned tuna. Finely dicing the vegetables helps children eat them without fuss.

Step 1

Step 2

Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper and season with 2 pinches of salt. Crack in 3 eggs. (2 eggs might make the mixture too runny, so we added one more. Adjust the number of eggs based on the moisture content of your ingredients.)

Step 2

Step 3

Using a spatula or spoon, gently mix everything together until the rice, tuna, vegetables, and eggs are well combined. Try not to mash the rice grains; a gentle mix is best.

Step 3

Step 4

Heat some oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time, forming small, flat, round pancakes. Making them not too thick ensures they cook through evenly and look appealing.

Step 4

Step 5

Cook over medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides. Flip when one side is cooked and cook the other side until golden. Arrange the finished tuna rice pancakes attractively on a plate for a delicious and nutritious snack your kids will love!
