Bulgogi Marinade- 2 Tbsp Soy sauce

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by thoroughly washing and preparing your salad greens. Chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Wash the cherry tomatoes, remove their stems, and halve them if desired. Gently rinse the mixed baby greens and drain them very well using a colander or salad spinner; excess water can make the salad soggy.
Step 2
Next, prepare the vibrant Oriental dressing. In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp whole grain mustard, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp vinegar, 2 Tbsp olive oil, 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic, and 2 Tbsp sugar. Whisk everything together until well emulsified and smooth. This dressing adds a wonderful tang to the salad.
Step 3
Now, let’s prepare the star of our salad: the bulgogi. You’ll need 600g of beef, ideally thinly sliced for bulgogi. This amount is suitable for approximately 3 servings. Using good quality, fresh beef will enhance the flavor significantly.
Step 4
Pat the beef slices dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture or blood. This step helps to eliminate any gamey odors and ensures a cleaner taste. Once patted dry, cut the beef into bite-sized pieces if they aren’t already.
Step 5
Prepare the simple yet flavorful bulgogi marinade. In a small bowl, mix 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp sugar, and 1 Tbsp sesame oil until well combined. This marinade will infuse the beef with a delicious savory-sweet flavor.
Step 6
Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the prepared beef to the hot pan. Pour the bulgogi marinade over the beef and stir-fry quickly, ensuring the meat is evenly coated. Cook over high heat until the liquid has mostly evaporated and the beef is browned.
Step 7
Use chopsticks or a spatula to continuously stir and flip the beef as it cooks. This prevents it from burning and ensures even cooking. Keep stir-frying over high heat until the bulgogi is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
Step 8
The bulgogi should be cooked until it’s well-browned and the marinade has reduced to a glaze, with minimal excess liquid. This ensures a rich flavor without making the salad watery.
Step 9
Remove the cooked bulgogi from the pan and set it aside to cool slightly. This allows the flavors to meld and prevents the warm beef from wilting the fresh greens when assembled.
Step 10
To assemble the salad, start by arranging the chopped Romaine lettuce at the base of a large salad bowl or platter. Scatter the mixed baby greens over the Romaine. You can arrange them artfully around the edges or layer them on top.
Step 11
Next, artfully place the halved cherry tomatoes amongst the greens. Finally, pile the cooled bulgogi in the center of the salad, creating a delightful mound. Drizzle the prepared Oriental dressing generously over the entire salad just before serving. Enjoy your delicious and vibrant Oriental Bulgogi Salad immediately!
