  • 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup) or honey
  • 1/2 Tbsp Minced garlic

  • Pinch of Salt
  • Canola oil or cooking oil, as needed

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Place the pork bulgogi meat in a pan and add 2 tablespoons of the store-bought bulgogi sauce. Ensure the meat is evenly coated.

Step 1

Step 2

Stir-fry the seasoned pork over medium heat until nicely cooked. Cook until the meat is tender and flavorful.

Step 2

Step 3

Julienne all the vegetables into bite-sized pieces, suitable for japchae. Slice the onion, carrots, and green onion into thin strips.

Step 3

Step 4

Add the julienned carrots to a pan with a little canola oil and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry briefly until slightly softened. Then, add the onions and continue to stir-fry until they become translucent.

Step 4

Step 5

Finally, add the julienned green onions and stir-fry quickly over high heat for just a few seconds. The key is to stir-fry them briefly to retain their fresh aroma and slight crunch.

Step 5

Step 6

Around the time the vegetables are finished stir-frying, boil the dangmyeon in plenty of boiling water. Refer to the package instructions for the exact cooking time.

Step 6

Step 7

Do not rinse the cooked dangmyeon with cold water. Drain them briefly in a colander and immediately transfer them to a pan. Add 2 tablespoons of sesame oil to the pan and quickly toss the noodles to coat them. This prevents the noodles from sticking together.

Step 7

Step 8

To the coated noodles, add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, a pinch of black pepper, 1 tablespoon of oligodang (or honey), and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Add half a tablespoon of minced garlic and mix everything thoroughly until the seasoning is evenly distributed through the noodles.

Step 8

Step 9

Now, add the prepared stir-fried vegetables and the cooked pork bulgogi to the seasoned noodles.

Step 9

Step 10

Toss all the ingredients together to combine, and your delicious Pork Bulgogi Japchae is ready! Enjoy it while it’s warm.
