Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the pork tenderloin into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a bowl and pour in 1 Tbsp of cooking wine to eliminate any gamey smell. Then, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, mixing well. Marinating the pork this way will make it more tender and flavorful.
Step 2
Rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Drain them well in a colander; ensuring they are dry is key to preventing a soggy fried rice and maintaining their crispiness. Finely chop the white part of the green onion for making scallion oil, and dice the bell pepper into small pieces.
Step 3
Heat a non-stick pan with a generous amount of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped green onion whites, and sauté gently over low heat until fragrant, creating a fragrant scallion oil. Once you smell the savory aroma, add the marinated pork and stir-fry over medium heat for about 3 minutes, until the surface of the pork is cooked.
Step 4
When the pork is mostly cooked, add the finely chopped bell pepper and stir-fry together. Once the bell pepper is slightly tender, add the 1 serving of brown rice. Use a spatula to break up any clumps of rice and mix everything evenly. If your rice is clumped, it’s important to loosen it up. You can absolutely use regular white rice instead of brown rice if that’s what you have on hand!
Step 5
Now, let’s prepare the seasoning for the fried rice. In a small bowl, combine 2 Tbsp of water, 0.7 Tbsp of soy sauce, and 0.3 Tbsp of sugar. Mix well to create the sauce. Pour this sauce into the pan and stir-fry, mixing well with the rice and other ingredients. Taste the fried rice and adjust the seasoning with an extra pinch of salt if needed, according to your preference.
Step 6
Finally, add the well-drained bean sprouts to the pan and stir-fry quickly over high heat. The trick is to cook the bean sprouts just until they are slightly wilted but still retain their crispness – overcooking them will make them lose their crunch. Once everything is well combined, your delicious pork fried rice is ready!

This fried rice is truly delightful with its combination of savory pork and crunchy bean sprouts. The satisfying texture with every bite truly enhances the appetite.
Step 8
With minimal seasoning, this recipe is not overly savory, making it perfectly suitable for children. It’s also an excellent choice for those who are mindful of their diet and managing their food intake.
