Main Ingredients- 30 hard-boiled quail eggs
- 15 strips of bacon, cut in half
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, rinse the boiled quail eggs under running cold water. This makes peeling them easier. Next, cut each of the 15 bacon strips in half to about 15cm (6 inches) long. Briefly immerse these cut bacon pieces in hot water to remove excess grease, making them more delicate. After removing from the hot water, pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels.
Step 2
Now it’s time to wrap the quail eggs with bacon. Take one piece of the prepared bacon and wrap it around one quail egg, securing the shape. Then, thread these bacon-wrapped quail eggs onto mini skewers, placing 3 per skewer. You’ll make a total of 10 skewers. Skewering them helps maintain their shape, making them easier to cook.
Step 3
Everything is ready for delicious cooking! Heat a frying pan without any oil over medium-low heat. Arrange the skewers neatly in the preheated pan. Cook them slowly, turning them from side to side, until the bacon is golden brown and looks appetizing. The natural fat from the bacon will render and beautifully coat the quail eggs.
Step 4
Once they are beautifully browned and golden on both sides, your tasty quail egg and bacon skewers are ready! They are delicious served warm, but also make a wonderful snack or appetizer when slightly cooled. Feel free to serve with ketchup or chili sauce for an extra kick, if desired.
