Quick & Easy Fried Rice from CU's Pork Over Rice Bento Box

I’ve been enjoying Baek Jong-won’s cooking tips lately! He recently shared ways to make CU lunch boxes and kimbap even more delicious, and I was particularly curious about the fried rice. He made two types: one from the Dakgalbi bento and one from the Pork Over Rice bento. I felt like I already knew what the Dakgalbi fried rice would taste like, so I was really intrigued by the Pork Over Rice version and decided to try it! It’s surprisingly easy and flavorful.

Step 1

To start, all you need is the bento box and a little oil! It’s incredibly simple. The bento box costs around 4,000 KRW.

Step 1

Step 2

Making it is truly straightforward. Lightly coat a pan with cooking oil. Then, add the rice, pork, assorted vegetables, and kimchi all from the bento box. You can also add the egg at this stage if you like, but like Chef Baek, I decided to set it aside to use as a garnish later for a nicer presentation.

Step 2

Step 3

Gently break apart any clumps of rice with your spatula, ensuring the vegetables and pork are well mixed with the rice. Stir-fry everything until it’s evenly combined, and your delicious Pork Over Rice Bento Box Fried Rice is complete! How simple is that?

Step 3

Step 4

Transfer the fried rice to a serving plate. If you set the egg aside, you can fry it or cook it sunny-side up and place it on top of the fried rice for a beautiful garnish. The sauce that came with the bento can be drizzled over the fried rice or served on the side according to your preference to enhance the flavor.
