☆Whip Up in Minutes! The Ultimate Simple Korean Street Egg Toast Recipe☆
I used to think making toast took too long, so I didn’t make it often. But with a brilliant tip from my mother, I discovered how to make this toast in record time! It’s surprisingly delicious!
Main Ingredients- Cabbage (a small amount)
- 3 Eggs
- 2 slices of Bread
Sauces & Toppings- Sugar
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise
- Whole grain mustard
- Sugar
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise
- Whole grain mustard
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s prepare the ingredients for our toast. You’ll need some fresh cabbage, 3 eggs, and of course, our flavorful sauces: ketchup, mayonnaise, and whole grain mustard.
Step 2
Crack the 3 eggs into a bowl. Add a pinch of Dashida for an extra savory kick. Then, add finely shredded cabbage that has been washed and thoroughly drained. Mix everything together well to create your egg batter.
Step 3
Your delicious egg and cabbage mixture is ready! We’ll be cooking this right away.
Step 4
Heat a frying pan and pour in the prepared egg mixture. The key is to make it as thick as possible! If you’re using a small pan, make one large omelet. If you have a larger pan, you can cook it to about half the size of your bread slices.
Step 5
Now, spread some butter on another frying pan. This one is for toasting our bread.
Step 6
Place the bread slices in the buttered pan and toast them until they’re golden brown. Aim for a slightly soft and moist texture rather than overly crispy, as this complements the other flavors nicely.
Step 7
Once the bread is toasted, sprinkle some sugar evenly over one side. This sugar will add a wonderful sweetness to the toast.
Step 8
Take the thick omelet you cooked earlier and cut it in half. Place one half onto one slice of the sugared toast, covering only half of it. Sprinkle a little more sugar over the omelet part.
Step 9
Now, it’s time for the sauces! Drizzle ketchup, mayonnaise, and the zesty whole grain mustard over the omelet. Feel free to adjust the amounts to your liking.
Step 10
Finally, fold the bread in half to complete your delicious Korean street-style egg toast! For easy eating, you can place it in a paper cup. If you’re packing it for a lunchbox, wrapping it in foil makes it convenient to eat on the go.
Step 11
With the quantities provided, you’ll be able to make a total of 4 delicious toasts. Enjoy this simple yet satisfying snack or light meal!
