For the Morning Pizza Buns

  • 6 Morning buns (soft, round bread rolls)
  • Generous amount of pizza cheese

For the Flavorful Pizza Sauce

  • 300g Spaghetti sauce (store-bought)
  • 200g Ground beef
  • 6-7 Cooked shrimp (frozen, peeled and deveined)
  • 1/4 Broccoli florets
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1/8 Carrot
  • 2 Tbsp Canned corn
  • Mushrooms (optional, any type you like)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the ingredients for the pizza sauce. Thaw the frozen shrimp in cold water, then pat them dry. Finely chop the broccoli, onion, carrot, and mushrooms. You can use a food processor or a knife. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon as it cooks. Once the beef is mostly browned, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque. Next, add all the chopped vegetables to the pan and sauté until they soften slightly. Pour in the 300g of spaghetti sauce and stir everything together. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens slightly, creating a rich pizza sauce. Remove from heat and let it cool down a bit.

Take your morning buns and carefully slice them in half horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through. Spoon a generous amount of the prepared pizza sauce onto the bottom half of each bun. Distribute the sauce evenly, ensuring it reaches close to the edges without spilling over.

Sprinkle a generous handful of pizza cheese over the sauce-covered buns. The cheese will melt and add a wonderful, gooey texture and flavor. Feel free to add more or less cheese according to your preference.

Once assembled, let the pizza buns cool slightly. Then, wrap each one individually in plastic wrap. Store them in the freezer.
