  • Assorted Jeon 200g (use a variety of your favorite pancakes)

  • 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 600ml Water (approx. 3 cups)
  • 1 pack Ramen Noodles (Shin Ramyun recommended)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the leftover assorted jeon by cutting them into bite-sized pieces. Depending on the thickness of your jeon, aim for pieces about 2-3 cm so they are easy to eat with the noodles.

Step 1

Step 2

Finely chop the scallion. The chopped scallions will add a wonderful aroma and a refreshing taste to the broth.

Step 2

Step 3

Finely chop the red chili pepper for a spicy kick. Feel free to adjust the amount based on your preferred level of heat.

Step 3

Step 4

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil. Add the chopped scallions and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant, releasing their aroma.

Step 4

Step 5

Once the scallions are fragrant, add the cut jeon, gochugaru (chili flakes), and soy sauce. Continue stir-frying over medium-high heat for another minute. This helps coat the jeon and enhance its savory flavor.

Step 5

Step 6

When the gochugaru and jeon are well combined and slightly toasted, pour in the 600ml of water. Bring the mixture to a boil to create the flavorful base for your jeon ramen.

Step 6

Step 7

Once the broth is boiling, add the ramen soup base from the noodle packet. Stir well to dissolve the seasoning into the broth, deepening its flavor.

Step 7

Step 8

When the broth comes to a rolling boil again, carefully add the ramen noodles. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or according to your preference for noodle texture.

Step 8

Step 9

Finally, add the chopped red chili pepper to the pot. Let it simmer for another moment to infuse its spiciness into the broth, completing your delicious Jeon Ramen.
