  • Water 1 liter
  • 3 Korean Green Chili Peppers (adjust to your spice preference)
  • Radish Sprouts (for garnish)
  • 1 Tbsp Coarse Salt

Seasoning & Accompaniments
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Beef Broth Powder (for added umami)
  • Wasabi
  • Soy Sauce (for dipping)
  • Scallions (chopped, for soup or garnish)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the fresh tuna sashimi. Choose your preferred cuts and ensure they are fresh.

Step 2

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of coarse salt in 1 liter of water, stirring well until the salt is completely dissolved. This step helps to remove any fishy odor from the tuna and maintain its freshness.

Step 3

Briefly soak the tuna sashimi in the prepared saltwater for about 3 minutes, then immediately remove it. Rinse it lightly under cold running water, pat it dry with paper towels, wrap it in fresh paper, and chill in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to enhance its flavor and texture.

Step 4

Carefully slice the chilled tuna sashimi into bite-sized pieces and attractive shapes. Try your best to make it look as professional as possible!

Step 5

Thoroughly clean the mussels by scrubbing off any dirt from the shells with a brush. Discard any mussels that are open, and rinse them well under running water. Scrubbing with coarse salt can help remove stubborn grime from the shells.

Step 6

Place the cleaned mussels and 1 liter of water in a pot. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until the mussels open their shells.

Step 7

Finely chop the 3 Korean green chili peppers. Lightly rinse them under cold water and squeeze out excess moisture. Adjust the amount or remove the seeds if you prefer less heat.

Step 8

Once the mussels begin to open, add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of beef broth powder, and the chopped green chili peppers. Simmer for a short while longer to allow the flavors to meld. You can also add salt to taste. Finally, add chopped scallions and simmer briefly.

Step 9

Your warm and refreshing mussel soup is ready! Serve it alongside the prepared tuna sashimi and enjoy. Dipping the tuna in soy sauce with wasabi enhances its flavor.
