While cold beverages are great, why not try a healthy and refreshing tomato juice made from scratch? It’s incredibly quick to whip up in a blender. This vibrant drink is perfect for our kids who are feeling tired and overheated. Give them a healthy boost with this delicious tomato juice!
Ingredients- 2 medium ripe tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 handful sliced almonds
- 50cc cold water or 1 bottle plain yogurt

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Select tomatoes that are firm to the touch yet fully ripe and a vibrant red. While tomatoes are delicious raw, blending them with nuts like this enhances their nutritional value and flavor profile.
Step 2
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly, remove the stems, and cut them into manageable pieces before placing them into the blender.
Step 3
Secure the lid of the blender and blend until smooth.
*Tip: For an extra refreshing drink, add a few ice cubes along with the tomatoes before blending. This will create a wonderfully cool and invigorating beverage.
*Tip: If you enjoy a bit of texture, blend for a shorter time. If you prefer a perfectly smooth consistency, blend until completely liquefied.
Step 4
Pour the 50cc of cold water or the entire bottle of plain yogurt into the blended tomato mixture. Add 1 tablespoon of honey for a touch of sweetness.
*Important Note: When mixing honey, use a wooden or plastic spoon instead of a metal one. This helps preserve the beneficial nutrients in the honey.
Step 5
Pour the finished tomato juice into your favorite glass. Sprinkle a small amount of sliced almonds on top for a delightful garnish. This juice pairs wonderfully with soft rice cakes (tteok) as a healthy and satisfying snack for children.
