Refreshing & Sweet Non-Alcoholic Sangria
Easy Non-Alcoholic Sangria Recipe for Kids and Families
We’ve prepared a delightful drink perfect for enjoying with children on hot summer days. This non-alcoholic sangria is bursting with fresh fruit flavors and a hint of sweetness.
Main Ingredients- 1 Orange (adds fresh sweetness and aroma)
- 1 Peach (contributes sweet and soft flavors)
- 2 Plums (balances with a sweet and tart taste)
- 400ml Cranberry Juice (forms the base for rich fruit flavor)
- 400ml Cider or Lemon-Lime Soda (adds fizziness and refreshing zest)
- Honey or Syrup, to taste (adjust sweetness as desired)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the fruits for your sangria. It’s best to use fresh fruits you have on hand. This recipe uses 1 orange, 1 peach, and 2 plums, but feel free to add or substitute with other favorite fruits. However, the orange is essential as it provides a bright, citrusy aroma and taste that enhances the overall flavor of the sangria.
Step 2
Wash all the prepared fruits thoroughly. Remove any pits or seeds, and then cut them into bite-sized pieces. The size of the fruit pieces is important; if they’re too small, they might become mushy, and if they’re too large, the flavor might not infuse well into the drink. Aim for a consistent, enjoyable size.
Step 3
Arrange the cut fruits attractively in a large glass pitcher or a mixing bowl. Layering them nicely will make the finished sangria look even more appealing.
Step 4
Pour 400ml of cranberry juice over the fruits in the pitcher. Cranberry juice not only gives the sangria a beautiful color but also blends well with the fruits to create a rich flavor. After adding the juice, cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. This allows the fruit flavors to meld with the juice and the fruit juices to infuse evenly, resulting in a deeper, more complex taste.
Step 5
Just before serving, add 400ml of chilled cider or lemon-lime soda. The carbonation from the soda will add a delightful fizz and refreshing quality to the sangria. Taste it, and if you prefer it sweeter, stir in a little honey or syrup to reach your desired sweetness level.
Step 6
This recipe includes a generous amount of fruit because children often enjoy eating the fruit pieces. If you want to make a larger quantity of the beverage or prefer a less fruity, more juice-forward drink, you can adjust the amount of fruit accordingly. Feel free to customize it to create your perfect, delicious sangria!
