Main Ingredients

  • 4 Hamburger patties (use a mix of beef and pork, or store-bought, as preferred)
  • 1/2 Red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 Slices Bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1/5 Zucchini (thinly sliced)
  • Approx. 2-3 Tbsp Canned corn (drained)
  • 4 Cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 4 Cloves Garlic (thinly sliced)
  • Generous amount of Mozzarella cheese (to taste)

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 4 packets Steak sauce (or about 1 cup)
  • Pinch of Salt (for seasoning vegetables)
  • Drizzle of Olive oil (for sautéing vegetables)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, lightly salt the thinly sliced red onion, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced garlic. Sauté them in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil over medium-low heat until the onions become translucent and the garlic is fragrant. Once cooked, set the sautéed vegetables aside. Thinly slice the bell peppers.

Step 1

Step 2

Lightly salt the sliced zucchini to draw out moisture, then sauté in a pan with olive oil until tender. Be careful not to overcook; they should retain a slight crispness.

Step 2

Step 3

Combine the sautéed red onion, garlic, and tomatoes with the cooked zucchini, sliced bell peppers, and drained canned corn in a bowl. Add all 4 packets (or about 1 cup) of steak sauce and mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.

Step 3

Step 4

Transfer the vegetable and sauce mixture back to the pan. Cook over low heat, stirring gently, until it begins to simmer and the flavors meld together.

Step 4

Step 5

Once the sauce is gently bubbling, place the hamburger patties in the pan, either around the edges or on top of the vegetables. Generously sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top. As soon as the cheese starts to melt, turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid to allow residual heat to finish cooking.

Step 5

Step 6

Place the hamburger patties, chicken breast (optional), and whole garlic cloves in your air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, open the basket, check the first side of the patties, flip them, and cook for another 10 minutes, or until fully cooked through. (Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer’s specifications.)
