Butter Chicken Curry Ingredients
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 jars of store-bought Butter Chicken Curry Sauce
  • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 container plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 knob of butter (approx. 30g)
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 piece of plain naan bread
  • A little minced garlic (for naan)
  • A little butter (for naan)
  • A little chopped parsley (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by peeling and thinly slicing 1 large onion. The sliced onion will add a wonderful aroma and depth of flavor early in the cooking process.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and sauté gently until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 3

Prepare the 6 chicken breasts by rinsing them and cutting them into bite-sized pieces. This ensures the chicken cooks evenly and becomes wonderfully tender in the curry.

Step 4

Once your chicken is ready, it’s time to focus on the curry sauce. We’ll be using 2 jars of store-bought Butter Chicken Curry Sauce. (Feel free to adjust the amount based on your preference.)

Step 5

Add the cut chicken pieces to the pan with the sautéed garlic and olive oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper and cook until the chicken is lightly browned on all sides. Browning the chicken enhances its flavor.

Step 6

When the chicken and onions are partially cooked, add 3 chopped ripe tomatoes to the pan. The tomatoes will break down as they cook, adding natural sweetness and a touch of acidity to the sauce.

Step 7

Let the mixture simmer gently over medium-low heat until all the ingredients are tender and well combined. Allow the flavors to meld together slowly for the best taste.

Step 8

Once the ingredients are sufficiently cooked, pour in both jars of the prepared Butter Chicken Curry Sauce. This is the key to achieving that rich and authentic curry flavor!

Step 9

Next, stir in 1 container of plain yogurt. This will add a delightful creaminess and smooth texture to the curry, further enriching its complex flavor profile.

Step 10

Stir everything together and let it simmer for a few more minutes. Your delicious Butter Chicken Curry, with its tender chicken and luscious sauce, is now ready! Doesn’t it look appetizing?

Step 11

Let’s make some Garlic Naan to accompany the curry! Spread a mixture of minced garlic, a little butter, and chopped parsley evenly over 1 piece of plain naan. Briefly bake it in an oven or cook it in a pan until golden and fragrant for a crispy, flavorful naan.

Step 12

Nicely plate the completed Butter Chicken Curry alongside the sliced Garlic Naan. Sprinkle a little more chopped parsley over the curry for a final touch of freshness and visual appeal.

Step 13

Dip the warm, crispy Garlic Naan into the rich Butter Chicken Curry, scooping up the tender chicken – it’s an absolute delight! Alternatively, spooning the curry over rice creates another fantastic and satisfying meal.

Step 14

Enjoy this iconic Indian dish, Butter Chicken Curry! Whether you’re pairing it with Garlic Naan or enjoying it with rice, it promises a truly delicious dining experience. Bon appétit!
