Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the vegetables. Wash the carrot thoroughly and julienne it into thin strips. Wash the lettuce and perilla leaves under running water and pat them dry. Gently squeeze the pickled radish wraps to remove excess moisture. Cook the rice until fluffy and slightly firm, perfect for gimbap, and set aside while warm.

Step 2

Grill the pork belly to perfection. Lightly season the pork belly strips with coarse salt and pepper. Pan-fry them until golden brown and crispy. Place the cooked pork belly on paper towels to absorb excess oil, then slice them into bite-sized pieces. Have the ssamjang ready.

Step 3

Season the rice. In a bowl of warm rice, add a pinch of salt, a drizzle of sesame oil, and the toasted sesame seeds. Mix gently to combine without mashing the rice grains, ensuring the seasonings are evenly distributed.
