- 10g Onion
- A pinch of Carrot (approx. 5g)
- 100g Cooked Rice (prepared to a texture suitable for your baby)

- 0.5 Tbsp Low-Sodium Baby Soy Sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (optional, for sweetness adjustment)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil or Sesame Oil (for sautéing)
- 100ml Water (or mild baby broth)
- 0.5 Tbsp Low-Sodium Baby Soy Sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (optional, for sweetness adjustment)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil or Sesame Oil (for sautéing)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ingredients. Soak the ground beef in cold water for about 10 minutes to remove any blood, then drain it well. Finely mince the green onion and onion. Cut the carrot into very small pieces or fine julienne strips that are easy for your baby to chew. Dice the tofu into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced green onion and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it, to release the oniony aroma.
Step 3
Add the drained ground beef to the pan. Break it up with a spoon and stir-fry until the pink color disappears and the beef is evenly browned.
Step 4
Once the beef is mostly cooked, add the prepared carrots and stir-fry together for another 1-2 minutes until the carrots begin to soften slightly.
Step 5
Now, add the minced onion and sauté until the onion becomes translucent and releases its sweetness. Ensuring the onion is well-cooked will make it more appealing to your baby.
Step 6
When the onion turns translucent, pour in 100ml of water (or baby broth) and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
Step 7
Once the broth is simmering, add 0.5 Tbsp of low-sodium baby soy sauce and season. Adjust the amount according to your baby’s age and taste preferences.
Step 8
If you’d like to add a touch more sweetness, stir in 0.5 Tbsp of oligosaccharide. This is optional and should be included based on your baby’s dietary stage.
Step 9
Finally, add the diced tofu. Gently stir it into the mixture and simmer for another 2-3 minutes, being careful not to break up the tofu.
Step 10
Prepare the cornstarch slurry for thickening. In a small bowl, mix 1 Tbsp of cornstarch with 2 Tbsp of water until smooth and lump-free.
Step 11
Gradually pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce while stirring continuously until you achieve your desired consistency. The sauce will thicken quickly, so it’s important to add the slurry slowly and adjust as needed.
Step 12
Spoon the finished beef and tofu sauce over the prepared rice to create a delicious baby beef and tofu rice bowl! You can also serve the rice and sauce separately to encourage self-feeding.
