Ingredients
  • 150g canned ham (or regular ham)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 stalk green part of scallion
  • 1/2 white part of scallion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, finely chop the scallions. For this pancake, it’s better to have smaller pieces of scallion than large ones for a better texture and even flavor distribution.

Step 2

Slice the ham into pieces about 1cm thick. While I’m using canned ham, regular ham can also be substituted.

Step 3

Next, whisk the eggs thoroughly until smooth. Since the ham itself is quite salty, there’s no need to add salt to the egg mixture. If you find the ham isn’t salty enough, you can add a tiny pinch of salt.

Step 4

Add the finely chopped scallions to the whisked eggs and mix well.

Step 5

Now, add the sliced ham to the egg mixture and coat each piece evenly on both sides.

Step 6

Let’s start cooking! Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the ham slices coated in egg onto the pan. To prevent the chopped scallions from falling off, use a spoon to carefully place them on top of the ham slices, ensuring they stick.

Step 7

Grill each side until golden brown. You don’t need to cook them for too long; about 40 seconds per side is sufficient. The ham should be nicely browned and the egg cooked through.

Step 8

If you have any leftover egg mixture, you can lightly cook it in the pan and roll it up to make a small, simple omelet. It’s a delightful addition!

Step 9

And there you have it! Delicious Ham and Egg Pancake, ready to be enjoyed.
