Main Ingredients

  • Kielbasa sausage 270g (about 2 links)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/5 carrot (small)
  • 70g cabbage (a handful)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Peel the onion and cut it into large cubes. Wash the carrot, peel it, and cut it into cubes of similar size to the onion. Remove the core from the cabbage and slice it into thick shreds or chop it into large pieces.

Step 1

Step 2

Get a 25cm frying pan and pour about 1cm of water into the bottom of the pan. (This is approximately 1/2 cup using a paper cup.)

Step 2

Step 3

Add the Kielbasa sausage, whole or cut into bite-sized pieces, to the pan. Then, add all the prepared onion, carrot, and cabbage.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, let’s begin the water-frying process. Cook over medium to high heat, stirring occasionally, until all the water in the pan has evaporated. This process should resemble stir-frying.

Step 4

Step 5

Once all the water has evaporated, the sausage and vegetables will start to look glossy. At this stage, slightly reduce the heat or maintain it and continue to cook until the sausage is nicely browned and slightly crispy. Be careful not to burn it.

Step 5

Step 6

Slice the well-cooked Kielbasa sausage and vegetables into bite-sized pieces and serve. This makes a delicious side dish! It’s best enjoyed while warm. It’s also wonderful served over a bowl of rice as a simple donburi.
