Main Ingredients
- 1 bowl of cooked rice
- 4 button mushrooms
- 1/2 can of tuna, drained
- 1/3 onion
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 stalk of green onion
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Sauce
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin or similar)
- Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your vegetables. Clean the button mushrooms and quarter them, or chop them into bite-sized pieces. Peel and finely chop or thinly slice the onion. Finely chop the green onion to add a fragrant aroma.
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the prepared mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly softened, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. This helps to bring out their natural sweetness.

Once the vegetables are slightly translucent, add the drained tuna to the pan. Stir and cook for another minute or so, just until the tuna is combined with the vegetables. Be careful not to overcook the tuna, as it can become dry.

Now, add all the sauce ingredients: soy sauce, water, red pepper flakes, cooking wine, and black pepper. Stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer gently until the sauce has slightly reduced and thickened, coating the ingredients nicely. You want a saucy consistency, not soupy.
