Main Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 3 medium onions
  • 3 stalks scallions or white parts of green onions

Seasoning Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) (adjust to 2 Tbsp for more heat)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp sugar (adjust to taste, 1/2 Tbsp is also fine)
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup or other liquid sweetener
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup water (approx. 100ml)
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

First, prepare 1 block of firm tofu. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes, about 2cm on each side. Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil and 2 Tbsp of perilla oil (or sesame oil) in a pan over medium heat.
