Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line an oven pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Arrange the chicken and prepared vegetables (onion, bell pepper, potatoes) attractively on the pan. Lightly coat the chicken and vegetables with olive oil or cooking oil; this prevents them from drying out and enhances the flavor.
Step 2
Now, let’s season everything for deliciousness. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over the chicken and vegetables to create a base flavor. Then, generously sprinkle mixed herbs and garlic powder for added aroma and taste. Using a blend of herbs like rosemary, thyme, and oregano will elevate the dish.
Step 3
Flip the chicken and vegetables. Lightly oil and season the other side with salt, pepper, mixed herbs, and garlic powder. Ensure all sides are evenly coated with the seasonings for maximum flavor infusion.
Step 4
Place the seasoned chicken and vegetables into the preheated 200°C (400°F) oven and bake for 20 minutes. This initial baking time will start to brown the ingredients.
Step 5
After 20 minutes, carefully remove the pan from the oven and let it rest briefly. At this stage, add the cherry tomatoes, which you haven’t added yet, and flip the chicken and vegetables over. Adding tomatoes later helps them cook without burning, keeping them juicy and flavorful.
Step 6
Return the pan to the 200°C (400°F) oven and bake for another 20 minutes. In total, baking for about 40 minutes will ensure the chicken is cooked through and tender, while the vegetables become sweet and caramelized. Your delicious one-pan meal is almost ready!
Step 7
Voila! Your delicious oven-baked one-pan chicken is ready. Serve it with rice or a fresh salad for a wonderful meal. The best part? Minimal cleanup makes this a truly satisfying cooking experience!
