Main Ingredients- 2 medium potatoes
- 1/2 pack pollack roe (myeongnan)
- 2 stalks scallions
- A pinch of sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, peel the potatoes and julienne them thinly. Finely chop the scallions to add a fresh aroma.
Step 2
Make a shallow cut on the pollack roe with a knife, then gently scrape out the roe from the inside using a spoon or the back of the knife. Discard the membrane.
Step 3
Soak the julienned potatoes in cold water for about 10 minutes to remove excess starch. This prevents them from sticking together and ensures a cleaner stir-fry. Afterward, drain them thoroughly in a colander.
Step 4
Heat some cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add all the julienned potatoes and stir-fry, tossing occasionally, until they turn golden brown. Maintaining medium heat is recommended.
Step 5
Once the potatoes are nicely browned, add the prepared pollack roe. Stir-fry everything together until the potatoes are fully cooked. The pollack roe will cook and infuse the potatoes with its delicious savory flavor.
Step 6
Finally, sprinkle the chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds for an extra nutty flavor. Your delicious pollack roe and potato stir-fry is ready! Serve it over warm rice for a delightful meal.
