Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your vegetables. Cut the bell pepper into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3cm) after removing the seeds. Separate the broccoli into florets of a similar size.
Step 2
Pat the pork dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Then, mix it with the marinating ingredients (1 Tbsp cooking wine, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper). Let it marinate for about 10 minutes. This step helps tenderize the pork and remove any gamey odors.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients: 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 Tbsp sugar, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir well until the sugar dissolves to create a delicious sauce.
Step 4
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water, then add the prepared broccoli florets and blanch for just 1 minute. Be careful not to overcook, as this can make them mushy. Immediately drain the broccoli and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool them down. Drain thoroughly. This blanching step helps retain the vibrant color and a pleasant crispness.
Step 5
Now it’s time to stir-fry. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden. Once the garlic aroma is released, add the marinated pork and stir-fry until the surface turns white and is mostly cooked.
Step 6
When the pork is almost cooked through, add the prepared broccoli and bell pepper to the pan. Increase the heat to high and stir-fry quickly, ensuring the vegetables remain crisp. Avoid overcooking the vegetables. Finally, pour in all the prepared sauce and stir-fry rapidly until everything is coated and glossy. Your delicious Pork and Vegetable Stir-Fry is ready! Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
