- 1 tsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- 1 Cheongyang chili pepper

First, in a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of Saeujeot (fermented salted shrimp), rinsed and drained, with 1 teaspoon of Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes). Add a pinch of sesame seeds for aroma and 1 finely chopped Cheongyang chili pepper. If you enjoy a spicier kick, feel free to adjust the amount of chili pepper.

Once all the ingredients are in the bowl, gently mix them together using chopsticks or a spoon until well combined. If you find the original saltiness of the Saeujeot too strong, you can lightly rinse the shrimp in cold water and pat them dry before mixing to moderate the saltiness.
