Ingredients

  • 45g Green Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 8 Tbsp Jin-ganjang (Korean soy sauce for soup/seasoning)
  • A pinch of Sesame Seeds (to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, finely chop the 45g of green onion. It’s best to use the white parts primarily for a milder flavor and better texture in the sauce.

Step 1

Step 2

In a small bowl or ramekin, pour in 8 tablespoons of Jin-ganjang (Korean soy sauce). This forms the savory base of our seasoning.

Step 2

Step 3

To the soy sauce, add the finely chopped green onion, 1.5 tablespoons of gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), 1 tablespoon of fragrant sesame oil, and a pinch of sesame seeds for added nuttiness and visual appeal.

Step 3

Step 4

Using a spoon or a small whisk, mix all the ingredients together thoroughly. Ensure everything is well combined to create a harmonious and delicious seasoning.

Step 4

Step 5

Once mixed, transfer the seasoning to an airtight container. Cover it tightly and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours before serving. This resting period allows the flavors to meld beautifully, resulting in a richer, more complex taste.
