Introducing a soft and delicious Tuna and Tofu Stir-fry recipe, perfect for your 37-month-old. This dish is not only ideal as a side dish for toddlers but also packed with nutrients and easy to prepare.
Ingredients- 150g Firm Tofu (for pan-frying)
- 100g Canned Tuna (drained)
- 0.5 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 0.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the firm tofu suitable for pan-frying. Lightly drain the excess water from the tofu, then use a spoon to mash it into a soft consistency, ensuring there are no large lumps. This will create a smooth texture that’s easy for children to eat.
Step 2
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the mashed tofu and begin to stir-fry. Continue to cook until all the moisture has evaporated and the tofu becomes crumbly and slightly dry. It’s best to cook over low to medium heat on the stove to prevent burning.
Step 3
Now it’s time to add the canned tuna, which will add a delicious savory flavor. Open the tuna can and carefully drain off all the oil before adding it to the pan. Removing excess oil ensures a clean and mild taste.
Step 4
Add the drained tuna to the pan with the fried tofu. Stir and mix well with a spatula for about 30 seconds. This step helps the tuna and tofu combine harmoniously, enhancing the overall flavor.
Step 5
Finally, add 0.5 tablespoon of soy sauce to the pan to enhance the taste. Stir everything together again to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Step 6
Once all ingredients are combined and stir-fried, turn off the stove. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the dish. The nutty aroma of the sesame seeds will further elevate the deliciousness of the dish.
Step 7
Transfer the finished Tuna and Tofu Stir-fry to a serving dish. This nutritious and delightful side dish for your child is now ready to be served, either warm or cooled.
