- 3 sprigs Cilantro
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 150g Glass Noodles (dried)
- 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Bulgogi Marinade- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce (Jin Ganjang)
- 6 Tbsp Pear Juice (bottled or freshly blended)
- 3 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce (Jin Ganjang)
- 6 Tbsp Pear Juice (bottled or freshly blended)
- 3 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Peel and thinly slice half an onion into strips about 0.5cm thick. Cut the green onion stalk into long strips of similar length to the onion, separating the white and green parts.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Thinly slice 5 cloves of garlic and add them to the oil. Gently sauté the garlic, infusing the oil with its aroma without burning it. Cook until lightly golden.
Step 3
Once the garlic is fragrant and cooked, add the prepared green onions and onions to the pan. Stir-fry over medium heat until the vegetables are slightly softened and translucent. The natural sweetness from the vegetables will enhance the bulgogi’s flavor.
Step 4
Gently pat the beef dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. In a bowl, combine the beef with all the bulgogi marinade ingredients (3 Tbsp soy sauce, 6 Tbsp pear juice, 3 Tbsp water, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp sugar). Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes. When the vegetables are partially cooked, add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry over high heat until the beef is cooked through. The sauce will combine with the vegetables, creating a delicious bulgogi stir-fry.
Step 5
Prepare the cilantro as desired. Trim the roots and roughly chop the leaves and stems. The fresh aroma of cilantro will cut through the richness of the bulgogi and add an exotic touch.
Step 6
Soak the glass noodles in hot water for about 10 minutes until softened. Drain the soaked noodles and add them to the pan when the beef is almost cooked. Stir-fry everything together until the glass noodles absorb the delicious sauce. If the noodles are too firm, you can parboil them slightly before stir-frying.
Step 7
Add about two-thirds of the chopped cilantro to the pan. Stir-fry quickly to combine the beef, glass noodles, and vegetables. The fresh fragrance of the cilantro will blend beautifully with the bulgogi, enhancing its overall flavor profile.
Step 8
Transfer the finished bulgogi stir-fry to a serving dish. Garnish with the remaining one-third of the chopped cilantro for a visually appealing presentation, adding both aroma and vibrant color to your ‘Seo Jin’s Style Bulgogi Stir-fry’. This dish is absolutely perfect served over a bowl of hot rice.
