Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 cherry tomatoes
  • 6 shrimp
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 handfuls of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the avocado and cherry tomatoes. Halve the avocado, carefully remove the pit, and mash it with a fork or mashing tool. It’s nice to leave a few small chunks for texture. Wash the cherry tomatoes, remove their stems, and halve them.

Step 1

Step 2

Next, cook the shrimp. Lightly grease a pan with cooking oil and sauté the shrimp until they turn pink and slightly golden brown on both sides. This brings out their sweet flavor and perfect texture. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2

Step 3

Prepare the bread slices. You can toast them in a toaster or lightly pan-fry them until golden. Once warm, spread margarine evenly over one side of each bread slice. This adds a lovely richness.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, let’s assemble the toast! Lay the cheddar cheese slices over the margarine-coated bread. Then, generously top with mozzarella cheese. Spoon the mashed avocado over the cheese, spreading it evenly. Arrange the cooked shrimp and halved cherry tomatoes on top.

Step 5

Finally, season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper for a burst of flavor. If desired, you can sprinkle some dried parsley on top. Place the assembled toasts in an air fryer set to 180°C (350°F) and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden. If using a conventional oven, bake at the same temperature for the same duration.
