With pre-portioned shrimp and a generous amount of spaghetti sauce from your pantry, you can whip up a satisfying and tasty meal in no time. Let’s make a delightful spaghetti that’s easy for anyone to follow.
Ingredients- Rosé Spaghetti Sauce (1 jar)
- Prepped Shrimp (1 handful, approx. 150g)
- Spaghetti Pasta (1 serving, approx. 80-100g)
- Butter (1 piece, approx. 10g)
- Milk (50ml)
- Salt (a pinch)
- Black Pepper (a pinch)
- Olive Oil (1 Tbsp)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thaw the prepped shrimp by soaking them in cold water. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add a pinch of salt and about half a teaspoon of olive oil to prevent the spaghetti from sticking. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions.
Step 2
Cook the spaghetti for about 11 minutes, or 1 minute less than the package instructions suggest for al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta but reserve about 1-2 cups of the pasta water. This starchy water will be used later to adjust the sauce’s consistency.
Step 3
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce base. In a separate pan, melt a piece of butter over medium heat. Add the thawed shrimp and a pinch of black pepper, and sauté until the shrimp begin to turn pink. If desired, you can add chopped onion or minced garlic at this stage and sauté until fragrant.
Step 4
Pour the jarred rosé spaghetti sauce into the pan with the shrimp. Add about one ladleful of the reserved pasta water to help emulsify the sauce. Stir in about 50ml of milk for a creamier texture. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then add the cooked spaghetti to the pan. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Step 5
Once the pasta and sauce are beautifully combined, transfer the shrimp rosé spaghetti to a serving bowl. For an extra touch of flavor and presentation, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and a dash of dried parsley. Enjoy your delicious homemade shrimp rosé pasta!
