Silken Tofu and Fluffy Egg Rice Bowl: A Dreamy Combination
How to Make a Simple Silken Tofu and Egg Rice Bowl
A nutritious and incredibly easy rice bowl that everyone, young and old, can enjoy! It’s perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. ^^
Ingredients
- 2 bowls of cooked rice
- 2 eggs
- 1 pack silken tofu
- 1 Tbsp minced green onion (white part preferred)
- 1 slice American cheese
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of black sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, crack the 2 eggs. Add the entire pack of silken tofu (do not mash it beforehand, or break it into large chunks). Stir in 1 Tbsp of minced green onion, 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Mix gently, trying not to create too much foam. If the tofu chunks are too large, you can gently break them up with a spoon.
Step 2
Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour in the tofu and egg mixture. Scramble the mixture by stirring continuously with chopsticks or a spatula, ensuring it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. The tofu will break down into soft curds as it cooks with the eggs.
Step 3
When the tofu and egg mixture is about halfway cooked and has a soft, scrambled texture, cut the slice of American cheese into manageable pieces (about 4 parts) and evenly distribute them over the mixture in the pan. The melting cheese will add a wonderful richness. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper over the top for added flavor.
Step 4
Once the eggs are fully cooked and the cheese has melted, creating a creamy scramble, spoon this mixture generously over a bowl of warm cooked rice. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of black sesame seeds on top for a nutty flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy your delicious Silken Tofu and Egg Rice Bowl!
