In a small bowl, combine 1/2 tsp of minced garlic, 1 chopped scallion stalk, 1/3 red chili pepper (seeds removed and finely chopped), 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of red pepper flakes, 1 tsp of sesame oil, and 1 tsp of crushed toasted sesame seeds. Next, here’s a handy tip for removing the silken tofu from its packaging without breaking it. Carefully peel off the plastic lid of the silken tofu pack. Invert the pack onto a cutting board. Gently tap the sides or corners of the pack with your hand or the back of a knife. Alternatively, you can make small nicks with a knife at two opposite corners on the top side of the pack to let air in, then tap to release the tofu. This method helps the tofu slide out in one neat piece. Handle it gently.
