Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 bunch of chives (approx. 50g), finely chopped
  • 1 serving of warm rice (approx. 200g)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp mentaiko mayonnaise (optional)

Seasoning Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 Tbsp gochujang sauce (sweet & spicy chili sauce)
  • A drizzle of sesame oil (approx. 1/2 tsp)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the delicious bibimbap sauce. In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of gochujang and 2 tablespoons of gochujang sauce. Mix them well. Feel free to adjust the amounts of gochujang or gochujang sauce according to your preference.

Step 2

Wash the fresh chives thoroughly, pat them dry, and then finely chop them into pieces about 1 to 2 cm long. Cutting them into bite-sized pieces will make mixing easier.

Step 3

Arrange the finely chopped chives attractively in a bowl where you’ll serve the bibimbap. The fresh aroma of the chives is already making your mouth water!

Step 4

Next, add 1 serving of warm rice on top of the chives. Generously drizzle the prepared spicy and sweet gochujang sauce over the rice. Place the egg yolk gently in the center, and finish with a light drizzle of sesame oil for a nutty aroma.

Step 5

For an extra layer of flavor, add 1 tablespoon of mentaiko mayonnaise. This will further enhance the overall taste of your Buchu Bibimbap. Once all ingredients are in, you’re almost ready!

Step 6

Now, grab your spoon and mix everything together thoroughly – ‘sseuk sseuk’ – until well combined. Enjoy your delicious Buchu Bibimbap! This dish is so simple yet so satisfying that you’ll finish your bowl in no time, even on days when you have a low appetite. It’s truly a quick and tasty meal.
